Purpose of the Position
The Office Manager is responsible for organizing and coordinating office operations and procedures in order to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
The Office Manager reports to the Logistics Director and is responsible for providing office management services to Al Clawson Disposal, Inc. This includes maintaining policies and procedures with efficiency while supervising office staff and maintaining office records.
Maintain office services

Organize office operations and and procedures
Maintain office equipment
Maintain hours and work assignments
Supervise office staff
Assign and monitor clerical and secretarial functions
Assist in recruiting and selecting office staff
Provide on the job training opportunities
Evaluate staff performance
Coaching and disciplining staff
Maintain office records
Ensure filing systems are maintained and up to date
Proper record retention
Ensure protection and security of files and records
Ensure effective transfer of files and records
Transfer and dispose records according to retention schedules and policies
Maintain office efficiency
Check stock to determine inventory levels
Anticipate needing supplies
Verify receipt of supply
Perform other related duties as required

The Office Manager must maintain strict confidentiality in performing the duties of the Office Manager. The Office Manager must also demonstrate the following personal attributes:

The Office Manager will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers, which can cause muscle strain. The Office Manager will also have to do some lifting of the supplies and materials from time to time.
The Office Manager is located in a busy, open area office. The Office Manager is faced with constant interruptions and must meet with others on a regular basis.
The Office Manager spends long hours in intense concentration. The Office Manager must also spend long hours on the computer entering and interpreting data which requires attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
There are a number of deadlines associated with this position, which may cause significant stress. The Office Manager must also deal with a wide variety of people on various issues.

The hourly pay for the Office Manager position is $20-22 per hour commensurate with experience.
