Attention: City of Leander Residents
On behalf of Al Clawson Disposal, Inc., we are honored to be your service provider for solid waste and recycling.
The inclement weather on Monday, January 26, 2026, and Tuesday, January 27, 2026, has created challenges for our operations. To maintain the safety of the community and our team members, we are unable to operate under these extreme weather conditions.
To ensure all impacted areas are serviced and to return to a normal schedule within seven days, we have implemented the following recovery plan:
- Trash Collection: We will recover trash on your regular service days. We are prepared for additional waste at the curb next Monday and Tuesday.
- Recycling Collection (Monday Customers: Week B): Residents impacted on January 26 will be serviced on Monday, February 2. Every-Other-Week Recycle service for Week B will then resume on Monday, February 9. Monday Customers (Week A) will remain on normal schedule and be serviced on Monday, February 2, as well.
- Recycling Collection (Tuesday Customers: Week B): Residents impacted on January 27 will be serviced on Tuesday, February 3. Every-Other-Week Recycle service for Week B will then resume on Tuesday, February 10. Tuesday Customers (Week A) will remain on normal schedule and be serviced on Tuesday, February 3, as well.
This approach allows us to recover missed collections without impacting Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday schedules and return to a normal schedule within seven days. Our Drivers are regulated by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and must abide by the Hours of Service rules. These rules limit the amount of time that Drivers can drive, as well as be on duty (both daily and during a rolling seven-day cycle). The Safety of our Personnel, as well as those around us, is always our top concern.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to provide solutions to these weather-related service impacts.
