POSITION SUMMARY

The Logistics Coordinator will utilize mapping software and GPS data to manage collection routes and driver/laborer performance on a daily basis. He or She will be responsible for maintaining current routes and managing new customer input to applicable routes. As the routes grow, and new routes need to be implemented, the Route Specialist/GIS Coordinator will be creating and implementing new routes in a manner which is profitable and effective for the business.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty in a satisfactory and efficient manner. Other minor duties may be assigned.

  • Reviews daily operations plan and monitors routes accordingly via GPS software.
  • Monitors and follows-up daily route assignments to ensure customers are serviced per company standards and agreements.
  • Assist office with routing new and existing customers utilizing GPS and Mapping software.
  • When new routes are created, review with Director or Ops team required to ensure Operational understanding. This includes production and distribution of maps and overview for new routes, and updated maps and overview for changes to any existing routes.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience: Two (2) years of relevant work experience in transportation, logistics, or solid waste operations. (preferred but not required)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel, with ability to create multiple sheet workbooks. Experienced in advanced formulas, vLookup, concatenate, data sorting and filtering.
  • Advanced Knowledge of Maptitude Mapping Software, or similar Mapping and GIS Software.
  • Ability to monitor, develop, and implement Routes with use of Excel, Maptitude and GPS Software.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat for creation of pdf binders for route maps.
